STEM Summer Camps

We have a host of exciting camps starting the first week of June. Each week features a new theme to explore including robotics, virtual reality, 3D printing, and more!

Summer Camp Line-Up

Theme Date Description
Sports + Tech June 11 - 15, 2018 Sports are always making technological advances that change how we experience entertainment. We’ll learn how sensors work and create devices that can track player scoring, ball speed and more!
Drone Camp June 18 - 22, 2018 Have you ever seen a drone flying around the skies in action? Drone Camp will teach you how drones work and we’ll also get to do a few Drone races of our own to see who’s the fastest in the sky.
Art + Fashion June 25 - 29, 2018 In this class our students will learn how to control LED Lights with micro controllers to mix fashion with technology! From light-up headwear to gloves that glow in the dark, see how we can infuse technology with the world of fashion!
3D Printing July 9 - 13, 2018 In this class we’ll learn all about how to operate a 3D Printer and make a few creations along the way that you can take home! We’ll also explore what 3D printing might do for the future of purchasing things from the internet.
Robotics Camp July 16 - 20, 2018 In this camp we’ll focus on how to create working robots and how machines work to help assist day to day operations. We’ll be using First Lego League Equipment to make our own functioning creations and later Vex Robotics to further our growth.

 

Camp Location, Hours, & Fees

All camps take place at the HAK Innovation Lab. Each camp runs one week long and camp hours are different depending on the student age group. 

 

Morning Session

7:00 AM - 12:00 Noon

Ages 6-12

Afternoon Session

1:00 PM - 5:00 PM

Ages 6-12

 

The registration fee for each camp is $299. This fee covers the entire week. A student may attend both the morning and afternoon session for a discounted registration fee of $499.

What is the deadline to register my child?

May 15, 2018

How do I know my child is accepted to the camp?

You will receive a confirmation email after you have completed all registration forms.

What do students get if they attend?

Students receive a HAK t-shirt, notepad, and pen. Some camps will have projects that include take home items.

Can my child be dropped off?

Yes, of course.

What is the earliest drop off time?

7am. Anything earlier will need to be coordinated with the HAK team and confirmed by the camp coordinator.

Can my child come late/leave early?

This is possible if the HAK team is given advance notice.

Does my child have to attend every day?

This is encouraged for the best learning experience, but it's not required.

When is the latest I can pick my child up?

30 minutes after the student's session end time.

Will my child be fed?

Only snacks will be provided. Students should plan to bring lunch from home.
